As a leading mobility scooter supplier, Mobility Aids offers over 50 different types of scooters including brands Shoprider, Pride, Invacare, Heartway and Afikim. Our quality scooters, also known as gophers, are designed to assist you in moving to and from your required destination; whatever the need.

Our large range of scooters enables our qualified staff to choose the best scooter for your needs. As electric scooters are used for a number of reasons, the type of electric scooter will vary, depending on required use.

Small Portable Scooters

Small / Portable Scooters

Ideal for those needing transport on a regular basis. Portable, small scooters are suited to smaller framed users, recommended for indoor use on flat surfaces. Although smaller, speeds on this mobility scooter will vary from 7km/hr up to the maximum 16-30km.
Mid Size Scooters

Mid size scooters

Suitable for outdoor use, indoor use and occasional transporting, mid size scooters are the most popular size in the mobility scooter range. Speeds on this scooter will vary from 10km/hr up to the maximum 25-30km.
Large Scooters

Large scooters

Ideal for outdoor use, large scooters are suited to larger framed users and have weight capacities up to 200kg. Large mobility scooters have spacious legroom, softer suspension and can handle harsher terrain and steeper hills. Speeds on this scooter vary from 15km/hr up to the maximum 50km.

Electric scooters are used by people unable to walk long distances, those needing greater access to their local community or, more commonly, as a replacement for their car. There are many questions to consider when choosing an electric mobility scooter. The key is finding the right product, at the right price, to suit the specific needs of each individual. Some of the most common considerations are:

Electric lift and recline chairs. Many models and fabrics. 3-wheel scooters: more legroom, making them better suited to taller users or those with knee problems.

Tighter turning circle making them more manoeuvrable, for example, for inside shops or general indoor use. Many consider 3-wheeler scooters to be 'unstable', however, if driven correctly they should be perfectly stable and safe to use.

4-wheel scooters have a more sturdy and stable feel when driving, especially when using the scooter over rough or uneven surfaces.

There are many other factors to consider. Types of seating, suspension, lights, tyre size, charging point and battery size are just some of the features that our experienced consultants can explain to help you find the right scooter to suit YOUR needs. We recommend that you discuss your specific requirements before making any decision.
